Lift Safety Switch Fault
The controller detected a problem with a lift safety switch or its wiring. Movement is stopped because the lift may not be able to stop safely at the end of travel.
Safety first
Never bypass a limit switch to keep operating
Release the control and turn the key OFF. Do not open the controller, touch wiring, or try to defeat the switch. Hazardous voltage and moving machinery may be present.
What you can safely check
- Keep everyone off, under, and away from the lift until it has been inspected.
- From a safe location, look for an obviously damaged switch, loose cable, corrosion, or debris near the end of travel.
- Note whether the warning appeared while moving UP, moving DOWN, or while the lift was stopped.
- Take a photo of the warning and any visible damage for your dealer.
- Do not remove covers, handle damaged wiring, or attempt another movement test.
What a qualified installer should do

Inspect the complete safety-switch system
Check the switches, cable, connections, mounting, and surrounding lift structure for damage or corrosion.

Repair the cause
Replace failed or damaged parts with components approved for the lift and marine environment.

Confirm the lift setup
Make sure the installed safety equipment matches the lift settings and has not been bypassed.

Test both travel stops
Before normal use, confirm the lift stops safely at both ends of travel and the warning does not return.
