APS Out of Bounds
Out of Bounds means the reported lift position is far outside its saved travel range. The controller stops normal operation because it can no longer rely on that position.
Safety first
Do not reset, recalibrate, or keep moving the lift
Release the control, keep everyone clear, and leave automatic movement off. Do not drive against a mechanical stop or attempt to clear the warning through setup controls.
What you can safely do
- 1
Make the area safe
Keep people away from the boat, cradle, cables, motors, and travel path.
- 2
Look for visible damage
From a safe distance, note an uneven cradle, loose cable, obstruction, or damaged sensor coupling. Do not touch or adjust it.
- 3
Record the warning
Take a screenshot of the app message and a photo of the controller lights.
- 4
Request authorized service
Contact Atlantis Support or a qualified Atlantis installer. Recovery and recommissioning procedures are available in the logged-in Atlantis Central knowledge base.
Do not attempt these actions
- Do not use Confirm Position to dismiss the warning.
- Do not change direction, zero, endpoints, presets, or controller settings.
- Do not open the controller or alter sensor wiring or mechanical parts.
- Do not use automatic movement until an authorized installer has completed recovery and tested every stop.
Information to provide
- Controller serial number and hardware version
- Lift location and boat position
- The exact message and light or sound pattern
- What the lift was doing when the warning appeared
- Any recent power interruption, mechanical work, or sensor service
