APS Out of Bounds
The Atlantis Position Sensor (APS) reports a lift height far outside the saved travel range. The controller cannot rely on that reading for normal automatic movement.
Safety first
Stop and contact your installer
Release the control, keep everyone clear, and leave Auto off. Do not reset the position, change the stopping points, or move the lift to try to clear the warning.
What to do now

Look from a safe distance
Note an uneven cradle, loose cable, obstruction, or visible sensor damage. Do not touch or adjust anything.

Record the warning
Atlantis Boater may call this APS Out of Bounds - Hardware Zero Required. Take a screenshot and a photo or short video of the controller light. On X4.4, a fast alternating pinkish-purple and red light identifies this warning.

Request service
Give your installer the controller serial number, lift location, and what happened before the warning. Include any recent mechanical or sensor work.
Before using the lift again
- A qualified installer must check the sensor and lift, restore the position setup, and test the stopping points.
- Limited manual recovery may be available. Use it only under your installer’s direction; saved stopping points may not protect the lift during recovery.
- Do not reset the sensor position or use Factory Reset to dismiss the warning.
