Motor Stall
The controller powered a motor but did not detect the expected lift movement. It stopped that move and turned Auto off. The cause may be a jam, a motor problem, or a position sensor problem.
Safety first
Release the control and leave the lift stopped
Turn the key OFF if fitted. Do not keep retrying a lift that hums, binds, tilts, or smells hot. The controls may still allow another move, but repeated attempts can make the problem worse.
What to do now

Keep people clear
Never go under a suspended boat or cradle. Do not reach into the lift.

Look and listen from a safe distance
Note an obstruction, uneven side, loose cable, unusual noise, burning smell, or a motor that did not move. Do not touch damaged equipment.

Save the warning
Atlantis Boater may show Recoverable Motor Stall. If the alert disappears, check Notifications using the bell on the lift screen. The controller light may pulse orange twice, then pause.

Contact your dealer
Tell them which direction you selected, what actually moved, and what you noticed. Have the cause checked before another attempt.

Why this warning can appear
- The boat or cradle may be overloaded, uneven, or caught on something.
- A motor, cable, pulley, gearbox, or electrical supply may need repair.
- The lift may be moving while a loose or damaged APS sensor fails to report it.
- This warning depends on APS position sensing. Do not assume a lift without APS can detect a jam.
