Power Loss During Movement
A power interruption can leave the lift in an unexpected position. Inspect the boat and lift, restore stable power, and confirm normal controls before returning it to use.
Safety first
Do not keep cycling power or controls
Keep people clear of the lift and make sure the boat is stable. If power is weak, intermittent, or accompanied by heat, smoke, or a burning smell, leave power off and call a qualified professional.
Safe recovery steps
- 1
Secure the area
Keep everyone away from the cradle, cables, motors, and boat until you know the lift is stable.
- 2
Look for an obvious cause
From a safe distance, check the dock breaker, shore-power connection, weather conditions, and the outside of the controller. Do not open the enclosure.
- 3
Restore power once
Restore the user-accessible breaker only after the area is safe. Allow the controller and app to finish starting before pressing a movement control.
- 4
Read the status before moving
Note any message, light, or sound. If Position Unsure or another fault appears, follow that support guidance and leave automatic movement off.
- 5
Test with the lift in sight
If no fault is shown and movement is safe, use a held control for a brief test. Release it and confirm the lift stops immediately.
Stop and arrange service when
- The breaker trips again or power drops when movement starts.
- The controller repeatedly restarts, goes dark, or loses connection.
- The lift moves in the wrong direction, continues after release, or makes unusual sounds.
- You see water inside the enclosure, damaged wiring, corrosion, heat damage, smoke, or smell burning insulation.
- A position, limit, voltage, stall, or other safety message remains after power returns.
What to report
- The controller serial number and lift location
- What the lift was doing when power stopped
- The exact app message and light or sound pattern after restart
- Whether the dock breaker tripped or other equipment also lost power
- Photos of any visible damage without opening the controller
